10th Wonder - Chapter 74 - “A Clear and Present Danger”

Heroes returned Monday night with a bang, and so we felt inclined to follow suit. Steve Glosson from the Starkville and SkyNext podcasts joins me this week with a fresh perspective on Heroes. Also, I swear we’re not trying to win some kind of award for “longest podcast”, but again we lost track of time digging into Monday’s episode and we now have one of our longest 10th Wonder episodes to date. I hope all of you enjoy this special extended episode of the 10th Wonder podcast!

Major Storyline for Tracy Next Season

I was just perusing the latest edition of TV Guide magazine and in the “Ask Keck” column, I ran across this question (which we’ve all been asking):

Q: Does Ali Larter want out of her Heroes contract?  -Barry, Naples, Fla.

A:  “Malarkey!” consulting producer Bryan Fuller tells me.  “We’re invested in Ali and Ali’s invested in the show.”  Fuller’s crafting a major storyline for her character, Tracy, next season to reward the actress for being such a good sport.  Fuller says Ali didn’t complain once while being doused with ice-cold water for an upcoming scene that lasted four hours. But the show is feeling network pressure to “eliminate” one or two original cast members.  Fuller says, “We need to show we mean business.”

Graphic Novel #123: Out of Town... On Business

Neither Claire nor Mr. Muggles are buying H.R.G's tired excuse.
After the disintegration of Primatech and the destruction of Pinehearst, HRG had put his "business trips" behind him until a few reports started trickling in... and some of them sounded a little too familiar.

BEEMAN’S BLOG - SEASON 3 - EPISODE 14

“A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER”

WELCOME BACK AFTER A LONG HIATUS – AND REMEMBER SPOILERS ARE CONTAINED WITHIN

Tonight’s episode was written by Tim Kring and was directed by Greg Yaitanes.

Hello loyal fans and welcome back after 6 long weeks off the air. As we’ve discussed before – the network plans these mid-winter breaks long in advance. First of all, less people watch TV in December and January, and the break is necessary in order to allow us to catch up. Every HEROES episode takes more or less 10 working days to produce, plus a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks to post-produce. Some shows, like “24” and “LOST” have chosen to delay airing until after January in order to run all of their episodes in sequence. We (and NBC) have chosen to premiere in the traditional late-September spot – run thirteen episodes in a row (which, believe me, is hard enough) – and then have a second (almost) continuous run of 12 more until late-April.

Tim Kring has chosen to deal with these inevitable mid-season interruptions by dividing the show up into separate Volumes. Episodes 1 thru 13 of this season were, as we know, entitled “VILLIANS” and this volume will be called “FUGITIVES.” As you may remember, the final scene of episode 13, technically, began this volume. In it, Nathan went to the President of the USA and told him about the “Specials” and asked for a special force, he felt was needed, in order to round them up.

Heroes in Habbo: A Heroic Quest

The official NBC Heroes group in Habbo has a new message:
Primatech Paper Assignment Tracker 2.0

Attention all Heroes

It appears that Syn is being watched and hunted, but why? Some of you already figured out that the mysterious message a bunch of us received yesterday was about a case file found on the Primatech Paper Assignment Tracker. Nice work! I told Syn the Habbos were smart.

For those of you who didn't find it, go to the Heroes group page. The information you need to start your quest is in the forums, but you must join the group in order to view the forums. This is for our own protection.

There seems to be a series of obstacles ahead. Do you have what it takes to get to the end? If you do, you will be rewarded with the official Heroes badge.

To give a fair chance to all the heroes out there, this quest will be open through mid-next week.

- Loderse
